Body recovered

On February 6, the body of one Kumar Thapa (32) was recovered from Jhalupara, Shillong.

Rape

One Gross Venor Jana lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on February 6 at around 10.30 am, one Kitborlang Kharsyntiew (30) molested and attempted to rape his minor daughter (4 yrs) in his residence at Mawlai Umjaiur, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.

One Hower Thabah lodged a complaint (February 5) at Pynursla PS that one Woodland Khongtiem raped his (complainant) minor daughter (13) at Riwai village (EKH).

Assault and threat

One Anil Kr. Bharati lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on February 5 at around 5.30 am, two unidentified miscreants assaulted him and snatched his cell phone apart from Rs 550 at Khliehtyrchi (WJH).

On February 5 circa 3 pm, two persons, Johnnybath M. Sangma (30) and Peter M. Sangma (18 yrs) under the influence of liquor, threatened the police personnel of Baghmara PS at Baghmara (SGH). Police arrested both of them.

One Bashila Myrboh lodged a complaint at Madanrting PS that on February 5 at around 7.30 am, her ex-husband, Marshall Kharsati assaulted her at Mawryngkneng (EKH).

On February 5 at about 2.30 pm, one Babul Dey threatened Pradip Dey with dire consequences and also damaged household articles in his residence at Polo Bazar, Shillong.

Theft

On February 3, unknown miscreants stole a truck (ML-05-4467) belonging to one Risibon Synteng Nongdhar from Lyngiong (EKH).

Murder

Police arrested one Arnesh R. Marak (22 yrs) in connection with an attempt to murder case under Mendipathar PS.
