Adolf Hitler owes Rs 61,130 to BSNL

SHILLONG: Congress candidate from Bajengdoba constituency Adolf Lu Hitler R Marak has pending telephone bill of Rs 61,130, as per the affidavit filed by him recently.

Besides the pending BSNL bill, Marak also owes a huge sum of money amounting to Rs 74, 36, 911 to the Araimile branch of Meghalaya Corporative Apex Bank (MCAB). He has a vehicle loan of Rs 1, 48, 800, which he took from Mahindra Finance.

Even though, Marak’s grand total of liabilities is Rs 74 lakh, however, the gross total of his movable and immovable assets is worth Rs 1.91 crore and Rs 2.08 crore respectively.

He has Rs 10,000 cash in hand besides possessing a huge savings in several banks and jewelry worth Rs 1.60 crore and Rs 38,000 respectively. He also owns six vehicles worth Rs 30 lakh and three second-hand guns having license no. 9752/GH (Vol 16). He has a .32 pistol worth Rs 25,000 purchased in 2009, one DDBL worth Rs 22,000 purchased in 2010 and one sports rifle-315 worth Rs 28,000 purchased in 2010.

He also owns non-agricultural land at Matchakolgre-II gifted to him by the Nokma and Mahari in 1980 worth Rs 8 lakh, commercial building at Araimile, Tura measuring 4448 sq ft purchased in 1981 worth Rs 1.5 crore and a residential building at Balsanang measuring 3572X3 sq ft purchased in 1979 worth Rs 50 lakh.

His total self acquired assets is Rs 2.08 crore while his inherited assets is worth Rs 8 lakh.
