SHILLONG, Dec 11: The department of Sociology, Sankardev College, organised a two-day national webinar from December 9 to 10. Sponsored by ICSSR-NERC, the webinar was held on the theme “Gender and Society in Contemporary India: Issues and Prospects.”
Notably, a good number of research papers on the topic were presented by scholars and academicians from around the country. The two-day event also saw attendees tuning in from different parts of India.
The keynote address in the webinar was delivered by Former Professor of Centre for the Study of Social Systems, School of Social Sciences, JNU, Prof. Maitreyee Chaudhuri.
