Govt on job to appoint new DGP: CM

SHILLONG, Dec 16: Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma on Thursday said the process for selection of the new Director General of Police has already begun. The incumbent DGP, R Chandranathan is retiring on December 31.
“There is a process for the selection of the DGP and that includes the list of probable names and communications to be made with the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). These processes have started and we hope it will be completed at the earliest,” he said.
