SHILLONG, Dec 18: The Nongkrem Constituency Academic Excellence Award 2021 was presented to meritorious students in a programme held here at the Community Hall Laitkor Dorbar Pyllun. A total of 33 students were presented the award for their academic performances by local MLA, MDC and Chairman, Meghalaya State Planning Board, Lambor Malngiang.
Out of the total 33 awardees, 26 students appeared for the SSLC examination and seven appeared for the HSSLC examination. The award, consisting of mementoes and cash prizes of Rs 5,000, was presented to all the students by Malngiang.
Congratulating the students for their praiseworthy results in the respective exams, Malngiang encouraged them to pursue their careers with determination and steadfastness, and to develop a sense of competition within themselves. He further motivated them to strive to be worthy citizens of the country and act as positive mediums of change.
Malngiang also thanked the parents and teachers of the meritorious students for their contribution and support in nurturing them and helping them achieve their goals.
