Shillong Cricket League ’21: Municipal, Sportive grab wins

SHILLONG, Dec 27: Municipal CC and Sportive Junior secured convincing victories in their respective Shillong Cricket League 2021-22 Third Division matches, in Polo Grounds, on Monday.
Combine XI won the toss and batted first before being bowled out for 122 in 19 overs. Municipal’s Player-of-the-Match Partive Neogi scalped 6/23 in 4 overs while Anup took 3/13. For Combine, Erich scored 47 off 39 balls while Saimonlang made 27.
Chasing an achieveable target, Municipal scored 123/4 in 16 overs with Amarnath scoring 49 runs. Kitkupar took 2/17 in 3 overs.
Later, in-form Sportive Junior dominated FSB by 40 runs. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Sportive were bowled out for 117 in 20 overs. Bappon scored 36 while Player-of-the-Match Suresh made 23 runs. For FSB, Vishal took 3/25 in 4 overs.
In reply, FSB were skittled out for 77 in 19 overs, Pankaj top-scoring with 19. Rahul took 3/13 in 4 overs. Suresh contributed with the ball too, taking 2/9 in 4 overs.
