State logs two deaths, 70 fresh infections

SHILLONG, Jan 10: Meghalaya on Monday recorded two more COVID-19-related deaths taking the death toll to 1,487, while 70 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours.
The active tally now stands at 448 while 83,369 people have recovered from the viral infection including 14 on the day.
Out of the new cases, 62 cases were reported in East Khasi Hills, four in Ri-Bhoi district, two in West Garo Hills and one each in West Khasi Hills and South West Khasi Hills.
