Halla Bol Jr, Keating Road win round of 16 matches

SHILLONG, Jan 13: Halla Bol Junior and Keating Road won their respective round of 16 matches in the 9th Ardhendu Chaudhuri Memorial Tennis Ball Day & Night Cricket Tournament, here on Thursday. In the first match, Halla Bol Jr won the toss and put Rilbong Super Kings in to bat first. Rilbong Super Kings scored only 13 runs in 6 overs before Hall Bol replied with 15 runs in just 1 over, to register a comprehensive 6-wicket win. Deepak Thapa was adjudged Player-of-the-Match for picking up 2 wickets. In the other game, United Brothers chose to field first after winning the toss against Keating Road, who smashed 96/3 in 8 overs with Player-of-the-Match Robin Thapa hitting 54 runs off only 27 balls. The target proved too much for United Brothers as they could only manage to get to 30/4 in the allotted 8 overs, to hand their opponents a huge 66-run victory.
