SHILLONG, Jan 14: Police has so far not been able to arrest anyone in connection with the recent vandalisation of an idol of Goddess Kali at Kali Mandir Bhoothnath in Mawbah, Shillong.
“We have not been able to identify anyone and we are in the process of identifying those involved in the incident,” a police official informed.
It may be mentioned that on the intervening night of January 1 and 2, miscreants had reportedly vandalised an idol of Goddess Kali at Boothnath Kali Mandir.
With the incident coming to light, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Marwari Shamshan Bhumi had subsequently filed separate complaints with Jhalupara Police Outpost.
