TURA, Jan 18: A collision between a Pick Up truck and a bike on Tuesday evening at Katalbari in South West Garo Hills has led to the death of the biker while the pillion rider sustained injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Romio Koch (18), while the injured pillion rider as Polison Koch (24).
According to police, the incident happened at around 5:40 PM when the bike bearing registration number AS17D 4148 collided with the Pick Up truck with registration number ML 08 F 3215 killing the rider on the spot. The injured victim has been shifted to the Garobadha PHC for treatment.
The driver of the Pick Up truck reportedly fled from the scene and a case has been registered with regard to the incident.
