2nd Div Football: Umphrup, Nongkrem play out 1-1 draw

SHILLONG, Jan 18: Umphrup SC and Nongkrem SC played out a 1-1 draw in their Shillong Sports Association (SSA) Second Division match, here on Tuesday. Umphrup’s Wanlambok Kharumnuid headed in a corner in the 34th minute before Roshan Thapa equalised for Nongkrem in the 78th. Nongkrem was relegated from the First Division after the 2019 season, while Umphrup moved up from Second Division. On Wednesday, Mawryngkneng SC play Jongksha SC at 2pm in a Group A game.
