New Delhi, Jan 18: Twelve states and Union Territories, including Meghalaya, and nine ministries and departments will showcase their tableaux during the Republic Day celebrations at Rajpath in the national capital on January 26. Besides Meghalaya, other states include Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
The main function will begin at 10.30 am in place of 10 am to let visibility improve by the time flypast takes place.
Further, the number of visitors at the Republic Day parade has been curtailed significantly and will be between 5,000 and 8,000 in view of the surge in COVID-19 cases. (IANS)
