Girl talents from USTM awarded Young Female Achiever by NIPER

9th Mile, Khanapara, January 25: Four girl students from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) were among the 11 Young Female Achievers from the North East who have been honoured by National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education (NIPER), Guwahati for their achievements in the field of academics, literature, sports, art and culture.

The award ceremony was a part of the celebration of National Girl Child Day on 24 th January at NIPER’s Changsari campus.

Speaking on the occasion, one of the mentors of the USTM students, Dr Pallab Kalita said that the students include Sharmina Begum, Bilkis Hussain, Fateha Yasmin and Tribeni Borgohain who have showed talents in various national and state level competitions.

The Young Achievers Awards were given to the few young female achievers from the region who have displayed excellence in various fields and have been inspiration for others.
