SHILLONG, Jan 25: Shillong Press Club and Prag News kicked-off the 3rd Raishmodi Nunisa Memorial North East Media Cricket Champions Trophy 2022 with comprehensive victories, here on Tuesday.
In the inaugural match, Prag News handed My News NE a 7-wicket defeat. Batting first, My News NE scored 164/5 in 18 overs before Prag News chased down the target, losing only three wickets with the help of two half centuries scored by their batters.
Later in the afternoon, Shillong Press Club (SPC) handed DDK Guwahati a comprehensive 95-run thrashing. SPC batted first and posted 225/4 in 20 overs before dismissing DDK Guwahati for 130 in 16 overs.
