SHILLONG, Jan 27: An undertrial prisoner, who was admitted at Shillong Civil Hospital, on Thursday morning allegedly died by suicide.
The deceased, identified as Robi Sunar, prima facie hanged himself to death inside the bathroom of the hospital.
It may be mentioned that Sunar was shifted to the Shillong Civil Hospital on Wednesday evening after he was arrested from Downgate, Nongpoh, along with two others, for their alleged involvement in drugs trafficking in the area.
Meanwhile, police have initiated investigation into the incident.
