SHILLONG: The BSF on Tuesday apprehended 7 Bangladeshi illegal immigrants from Sonapur Bridge in East Jaintia Hills district while they were trying to exfiltrate into Bangladesh.
The apprehended persons have been identified as Dedhu Ahmad (35), Annamuddin (20), Sohel Ahmed (20), Abdush Subhan (25), Abdur Mannan (18), Sual Ahmed (20) and Fazaz Uddin (18). The operation party recovered 11 mobiles phones worth Rs 24000, Indian Currency worth Rs 9,400, and 2 Red cutter worth Rs. 14. It was revealed that all the Bangladeshi illegal immigrants were working in a cement factory at Ladrymbai area in East Jaintia Hills district.
