Resignation
The primary member of Shella Block Congress Committee, Mosjo Rockfeller Wanswett, has resigned from the primary membership of the Committee on personal grounds. The resignation letter has been sent to the district president of the Congress party.
Unclaimed body
A male patient, identified as Vidhan Dey (48), was admitted in the Male Medical Ward-I, Bed No 1 of Shillong Civil Hospital at 12.14 pm on February 3. He, however, passed away at 6:50 am on February 4. Meanwhile, all concerned relatives have been asked to collect the body from the hospital morgue within three days, failing which the cadaver will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.
