SHILLONG: Shillong Lajong FC will take on Sesa Football Academy in the Group C I-League Under 20 encounter on March 8, to be played at the JRD TATA Complex in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.

Sesa FA, from Goa, will play their opening match on Friday, which promises to be an interesting encounter as they take on the Shillong Lajong U-20 team.

Lajong played out a goalless draw against Goan side Churchill Brothers SC in their opening match while Dempo, Mohun Bagan and East Bengal won their respective games on Wednesday.

Salgaocar beat defending champions Pune FC 2-1 while Prayag United and Sporting Clube De Goa played out a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

The Reds will want to convert their good performance from the first game into goals and take home three points against Sesa FA.

Coach Gumpe Rime said that “The weather is my main concern as it is very hot and we are playing at 1pm. But it is hot for both the teams and there is no excuse. We will settle for nothing less than a win.”

He also said, “We have not seen SESA Academy play and we will be playing for the first time with them. We are expecting a good fight from them.

“But we believe that our boys will put up a good show tomorrow,” he said.
