DGP probable’s stint in state

SHILLONG, Feb 13: Mukesh Agrawal, a 1989 batch IPS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, whose name has been shortlisted by the UPSC for appointment as the next DGP of the state, started training in Shillong as Asstt. SP in 1990. He had also held the post of ADC to the Governor, SDPO of East Khasi Hills and SDPO Williamnagar. He had his training as OC at Nongpoh police station before returning to Assam in 1993.
He had studied PU (Science) for one year at St. Edmund’s College, Shillong in 1977-78.
