2nd Div Football: Laitkor last team to make semis

SHILLONG, Feb 22: Laitkor SC made it to the semi-finals of the Shillong Sports Association Second Division league after a 2-0 win over Nongkrem SC. Needing at least a draw to qualify, Laitkor decided to go guns blazing instead and scored both goals in the first half. Ieitlang Syiemlieh scored the first in the 17th minute before Batkyrshan Kharkongor made it 2-0 nine minutes later. Laitkor will now take on Marbisu SC in the second semi-final on March 1 while the first semi-final will be played between Mylliem SC and Sohiong SC. Both matches will begin at 2:45 pm. On Wednesday, Wahingdoh SC meet Laitkyrhong SC in a league game at 2:45 pm.
