SHILLONG, Feb 25: Sporting CC beat Khalsa Warriors by 46 runs in their Shillong Cricket Association First Division, here on Friday. Put into bat first, Sporting scored 157/7 in 35 overs. Rahul Hazarika (74 not out) and skipper Robert E Ralte (29 runs in 50 balls) were the top-scorer for Sporting. Pragat Singh Sohain and Rahul Singh picked up 2 wickets each while giving away 16 and 31 runs respectively. In reply, Khalsa were bowled out for 111 runs in 25.2 overs. I P Singh Brar top scored for Khalsa with 38 runs off 62 balls. Ralte (3/36), Rohit Kumar (3/17) and Manish Sharma (3/7) were the wreckers-in-chief for Spoting. Hazarika was adjudged the Player of the Match for his outstanding knock.
