SHILLONG, Feb 25: The Justice T Vaiphei-headed one-man inquiry commission probing the killing of Cheristerfield Thangkhiew has so far examined four police personnel. A few more will be examined on Saturday.
Two police personnel were examined by the commission and later discharged here on Friday.
Justice Vaiphei said the police will bring some more personnel for examination on Saturday after which they would fix the hearing for the examination of the witnesses of Thangkhiew’s family.
“After tomorrow’s hearing, we will decide the next date of hearing,” he said.
Earlier this month, Justice Vaiphei visited the former HNLC leader’s residence at Mawlai Kynton Massar for an inspection of the place of occurrence.
The hearing had started on September 9.
The state government had ordered the probe, buckling under pressure from the pressure groups.
