SHILLONG: Veterinary defeated SS NetCom by six wickets and AG’s Office defeated Raj Bhawan by the same margin in league matches of the Inter Office cum Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament on Thursday.
In the first match, Veterinary won the toss and elected to field. Group leaders SS NetCom were all out for 84 in 19.3 overs. Sanju took 4-12.
Veterinary scored the required runs in 16.5 overs and secured a quarterfinal spot while ousting defend-ing champions Forest Department. Deibormi scored 40 for the winners.
In the second match, AG’s Office elected to field. Raj Bhawan made 120-9 in 20 overs. Robin Chettri scored 35 while Sudesh took 4-16. AG’s Office then scored 121-4 in 15.5 overs. Gopal Singh scored 41 while Vijay Thapa took 3-16.
