SHILLONG, March 2: Riatsamthiah CC came out on top with a narrow 16-run win over Young Guns during their fairly low-scoring Shillong Cricket Association First Division match, here on Wednesday. Earlier, Riatsamthiah won the toss batted first before being dismissed for 153 in 32.4 overs. Player-of-the-Match Adarsh Joshi top-scored with 33 runs, while Gavineal Marpna contributed 30. Beeru was the pick of the bowlers for Young Guns, taking 4/27 from 6.4 overs while Sameer claimed figures of 3/28 from 5 overs. However, Young Guns’ batting was not as impressive as they were bowled out for just 137 runs in 34.3 overs. Mickey Lyngdoh scored 30 while Jameel Shah made 29 runs. Shembhalang took 3/23 in his 6 overs while Praveen returned figures of 3/34 from 6.3 overs.
