Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki Saturday informed the Assembly that more security personnel will be deployed in insurgency dominated Tirap, Changlang and Longding district of the state soon. Replying a question moved by MLA, Kamthok Lowang on the second day of the six-day-long Tenth session of the Fifth Legislative Assembly here Saturday, the Chief Minister said that a batch of newly recruited police personnel is undergoing training at training camps and they will pass out shortly.
As-soon-as, they will pass out they will be deployed in different areas of these districts to maintain law and order situation as per requirements, he said.
He further informed the members that Ist AAPBn was not deployed in Tirap and Changlang districts as stated by the Mr Lowang, however, one company of 2nd AAPBn was deployed in Changlang and 2 platoons were deployed in Tirap.
But, the forces were later withdrawn in 2005 after the deployment of Ist and 2nd IRBn in these district battalion headquarters of Ist IRBn is at Namsangmukh and 2nd IRBn at Diyun.
The Chief Minister further replied that AAPBn has been deployed in other districts while personnel from Ist and 2nd IRBn have been deployed in Tirap and Changlang district.(UNI)
