MeghEA nominated for UN Awards

SHILLONG, March 11: Meghalaya Enterprise Architecture (MeghEA), a flagship programme of the state that aims towards enabling service delivery from government to citizens, businesses and employees by adopting whole-of-government approach, has been nominated for the UN Awards in the World Summit on the Information Society Forum 2022, according to a statement issued here.
MeghEA is 20 prestigious projects among several others that were evaluated globally on various criteria, to be shortlisted from countries like Singapore, China, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, Australia, Saudi Arabia, etc. It is worth mentioning that the Government of Meghalaya’s project MeghEA became the only to cross the entry barrier in the category in the whole of India.
MeghEA has been nominated under the category of ‘The role of governments and all stakeholders in the promotion of ICTs for development’.
Five out of the 20 selected projects would be shortlisted for the award, the statement said.
MeghEA is a first-of-its-kind project which is based on India’s National Enterprise Architecture framework, which is said to have reduced the processing time of files significantly.
