Inauguration
The Rotary Club of Orchid City Shillong and STEM Learning Private Limited will inaugurate their first Science laboratory at Lumparing Vidyapeeth Secondary School on Saturday. The programme will be attended by Commissioner& Secretary of Department Of Arts and Culture Frederick Kharkhongor and former Education Minister Manas Chaudhuri as the chief guest and the guest of honour respectively.
Body found
An unknown male person was found lying dead in the veranda of Putin Compound, Keating Road, Shillong, a statement issued here said. The body was sent to Shillong Civil Hospital for identification and claim. The body appeared to be 55-56 years old, 5.4 feet tall and had a swarthy complexion.
