SSA 1st Div football league to begin from March 19

SHILLONG, March 13: The Shillong Sports Association First Division Football league has released fixtures for the first 13 matches scheduled to commence from March 19. The league will feature a total of seven teams this season as opposed to nine in the 2019 season. The teams participating include Umphyrnai, Nongthymmai, Nongrim Hills, Lawsohtun, Imson Sawmer and Smit. The opening game will see Umphyrnai take on Lawsohtun on March 19 at 3 pm followed by Smit versus Nongthymmai on March 21. Nongrim Hills meet Imson on March 22 while Sawmer face Umphyrnai on March 24. On March 26, Lawsohtun play against Smit while on March 29, Imson and Sawmer square-off. Smit play Umphyrnai on March 31 and Nongrim Hills take on Lawsohtun on April 2. Other fixtures include – Nongthymmai vs Sawmer on April 4; Umphyrnai vs Imson on April 5; Lawsohtun vs Nongthymmai on April 8; Imson vs Smit on April 9. All 13 matches will be played at 3 pm.
