SHILLONG: The ordeal of the Williamnagar gang-rape victim doesn’t seem to end with the school authorities refusing to admit her in schools in Williamnagar.

This came to light when the relatives of the victim sought the intervention of the CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing.

Besides denial of admission in schools, the victim is not able to come out of the house due to fear of harassment by people. A complaint has been filed in this regard.

According to the relatives, whenever she used to go out, people used to stare at her and take pictures on their cell phones.

The CSWO has condemned this attitude and stated that they will take up the matter with the State women’s commission urging the same to strongly take it up with the government.

“We cannot allow such things to happen where a victim feels insecure and unprotected,” Kharshiing said while demanding thorough investigation into the case to prevent any lapses.
