EKH health officials, nurses get trained on palliative care

SHILLONG, March 21: Health officials and nurses from East Khasi Hills were recently imparted training on palliative care during a ten-day programme.
According to a statement in this regard, the Office of the District Medical & Health Officer, East Khasi Hills, under the National Programme for Palliative Care (NPPC), NHM, conducted a training course for medical officials and staff nurses of East Khasi Hills-based CHCs, PHCs and dispensaries.
Curtain on the training programme, which was attended by various health officials from across the district, came down on March 18.
“The training rounded off with certificates being awarded to all the trainers and trainees who attended the training,” the statement informed.
