The arrested people have been identified as Tillingbirth M Sangma, Walak M Sangma, Tengsan R Sangma and Chingrak M Sangma — all hailing from Mejolgre Chekjongbra village.
The arrest comes following a police complaint registered by the principal of Danal UP School.
In his complaint, the school principal alleged that he and other occupants of a car were waylaid by a group of dacoits near Ab’rong. It was after this they snatched the mobile phones of the victims.

Information has pointed to them involved in the case and they have been arrested,” informed EGH SP, Bruno A Sangma.
