TURA, April 1: Several organisations from Dainadubi and its surrounding areas in North Garo Hills district including the GSU, FKJGP, AAYF, ADE, AHAM, GSMC, Public Joint Action Committee (PJAC) and others, on Friday, submitted a joint memorandum to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma demanding the upgrade of the Dainadubi Primary Health Centre (PHC) besides an ambulance for the PHC.
“The present PHC needs upgradation. Though the building has been completed, the necessary infrastructures and equipment are yet to be made functional. It should be upgraded to CHC,” the organisations said in their memorandum.
Besides the upgrade of the PHC and the demand for an ambulance, the groups also requested the setting up of a trauma centre at the health centre.
