SHILLONG, April 17: As many 151 land owners who donated their land for construction of various PWD roads within Greater Lumparing Area were felicitated in a programme at Lumparing Indoor Sports Hall on Saturday.
The Monitoring Cum Implementation Committee of South Shillong Constituency in collaboration with the Dorbar Shnong of Greater Lumparing Areas organised the felicitation programme.
Chief guest of the occasion, South Shillong MLA, Sanbor Shullai, expressed appreciation towards the land owners for donating their land.
He also thanked members of the Dorbar Shnong, the PWD for supporting his recommendation on various projects meant for the welfare of the general public.
Doncaster Shabong, Rangbah Shnong, HB Wahlang, Rangbah Shnong and Shaiphar Wahlang, Rangbah Shnong among others were also present during the programme.
On the day, the MLA handed over work orders sanctioned at cost of Rs 5.86 crore for construction of two new roads in the presence of all Rangbah Dong and members of Dorbar Shnong Lower Lumparing.
