TURA, April 22: Continuing to bolster the party at grassroots level, the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) on Friday constituted a new zone at Songsak constituency in East Garo Hills.
Following the formation of the zone, viz. AITC 41 Songsak Zone-A (Rongrong), office-bearers were also elected for the same.
The office-bearers who were elected were Salendra Sangma (president), Norosin Shira, Jonen Sangma and Probity Sangma (vice presidents), Jesh Sangma and Bripstar Sangma (general secretaries), Awin Marak (joint secretary), besides seven other executive members.
GHADC MDC from Rongrong, Rinaldo K Sangma, Samanda MDC Lahitson Sangma and other AITC youth and mahila leaders were also present during the formation of the new zone.
