SHILLONG: North Tura MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Noverfield R Marak on Thursday inau-gurated the black topping of rural road from NH 51 to Rongchigre village under Rongram C and RD Block.
The one kilometer stretch was constructed under the Black Topping of Rural Road Scheme (BTRRS).
Addressing the gathering, Marak spoke on the various livelihood schemes initiated by the government and laid special emphasis on the government’s flagship programme, the Integrated Basin Development and Livelihood Programme.
He also spoke on the need for cooperation between the people and the government for sustainable development and urged the people to avail the schemes launched by the State.
