SHILLONG, April 26: Deputy Chief Minister hit back at Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief Vincent H Pala, a day after the latter linked the boundary MoU to the under-construction five star hotel in Khanapara, suggesting suggest that Pala has personal problem with Urban Affairs Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar’s family.
“May be Pala is unhappy since Dhar family is richer than him now,” Tynsong said while reacting to allegation made by the MPCC chief.
Pala had told reporters on Monday that the state government took up the issue of the interstate border dispute only after some “big shots” in the government had taken over the hotel’s ownership.
“This is not the spirit. Both Pala and Dhar are from our state. The MPCC chief is behaving like a kid by targeting one family,” the deputy chief minister said.
Questioning why Pala is speaking only about who is benefitting from the boundary agreement in Khanapara, Tynsong said that Pala should also revealed who is benefitting from the boundary agreement in Pillangkata, Maikhuli and the other areas in West Khasi Hills.
“I never expect Pala would speak in this way. It is really a big disappointment for me, personally,” Tynsong added.
