DGP Bishnoi calls on CM

SHILLONG, May 21: After assuming charge as the Director General of Police (DGP) of Meghalaya, LR Bishnoi called on Chief Minister Conrad Sangma at his residence on Saturday.
Earlier, Bishnoi had tweeted: “Assumed charge as DGP @MeghalayaPolice today evening. Torrential rain welcomed me. Met senior officials & sought updates on various issues. We, @MeghalayaPolice will work with renewed zeal towards a safe & peaceful Meghalaya. #HelpUsToHelpYou has asserted that he and Meghalaya Police will work with renewed zeal towards a safe & peaceful Meghalaya (sic).”
Welcoming Bishnoi, the Meghalaya Police said “under his leadership and guidance, safe & secure Meghalaya and serving its people with renewed zeal will continue to be their priority”.
