SHILLONG: The CSWO has condemned the attack on two women at Langpih and demanded immediate arrest of those involved.

In a statement issued here on Monday, the CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing said that the Government should be held responsible for not being able to protect the tribal village people in the border areas, and immediate attention should be given to the border areas as delay seems to be intentional and time taking.

“People are to be protected and should not be used as political baits by anyone as lives are precious. Borders should be well protected and people in the borders too need to be protected from influx”, Kharshiing said.

According to Kharshiing, since both States are ruled by the same party, it would not be difficult to come to an agreement to resolve the boundary issue.
