Murder
The Railang Police on Tuesday arrested one Rilutmon Suchiang (35) for allegedly murdering one Sankini Lapasam of Mawkaiaw on April 11.
Jaintia Hills Superintendent of Police Herbert G Lyngdoh said that police is still investigating into the matter. “The accused was the brother-in-law of the victim whom he allegedly murdered with a dao,” Lyngdoh said.
Body recovered
On April 16, one unidentified male body was recovered from an abandoned house in the premises of MeECL quarter (Ri-Bhoi ). The deceased is suspected to have been murdered by unknown miscreants. Officer in charge Umiam PS is enquiring into the matter.
Foetus recovered
On April 15 around 6.15 pm, one foetus (3/4 months old) was recovered at Kharmalki, Shillong.
