SHILLONG, May 30: The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is yet to start its inquiry into the collapse of the central dome of the upcoming Assembly building in New Shillong Township.
A PWD official said some officials from IIT Guwahati had visited the site on Saturday. “We expect them to revisit the site soon,” the official said, without revealing any detail.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma had recently stated that the state government had approached four IITs out of which only IIT-Guwahati responded and agreed to do an audit of the Assembly project.
