Tynsong attributes state’s devp to Centre’s ‘untiring’ support

SHILLONG, May 31: Meghalaya has seen a lot of developmental activities and transformations in these past few years due to the “untiring” support from the central government.
Informing this, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that the state government looks forward to more schemes in the coming years.
Meghalaya on Tuesday virtually joined other states and union territories for an interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The prime minister, who was on a visit to Shimla, had interacted with beneficiaries of various central schemes from across the country and released Rs 21,000 crore as the 11th instalment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi to mark the eighth anniversary of his government.
Meghalaya also joined the nationwide interaction during a programme at State Convention Centre Auditorium, Shillong.
Tynsong, who was part of the programme, highlighted initiatives of the Centre for the benefit of the masses, particularly the poor and marginalised.
“With the untiring support from the central government, we have seen a lot of developmental activities and transformations in the state in these past few years. I express my sincere gratitude on behalf of the state of Meghalaya and look forward for various other schemes in the coming years,” the deputy CM stated.
Union Minister of State, DoNER, BL Verma, who was part of the programme, also interacted with the beneficiaries from the state.
