A cultural evening will be organised by Geetali – a Socio Cultural Organization, Laban, on the eve of Bengali New Year at U Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong, from 6 pm on Sunday. Jimut Roy and Anwesha Dutta Gupta will perform in the evening, according to a statement issued here.
Conference
The Second Statutory Conference of the Meghalaya Retired College Teachers Association (MRCTA) was held at Women’s College, Shillong, on Saturday, which was presided over by president of MRCTA B Ingty. Retired college teachers (60 to 90 years) attended the conference and deliberated over pressing issues of retired teachers. The conference also elected new Executive Council for the next term.
