lA Maruti 800 (ML-O5E-7560) heading towards Williamnagar from Balsigitim village hit a log when the driver lost control of the vehicle on a turning at Balsigitim Reserve under Samanda Block, East Garo Hills. The driver Hastin Sangma (36) and the co-passenger Hemelson Marak (29) were shifted to Williamnagar Civil Hospital for treatment.
lAnthony Langstieh (32) sustained injuries after he was hit by a scooter while walking on the side of the road at Lait Bynter under Mawphlang Block, East Khasi Hill on April 23. Anthony Langstieh and the motorist, Ialam Khyriem (19), were shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital for treatment.
lThree passengers of a local taxi (ML-O5G-3885) travelling towards Mawiong hit the rear of a truck (ML-O5E-9968) travelling in the same direction near the MECOFED office at Mawiong, Shillong. Ibandarishisha Thabah (15), Jecinta Thabah (38) and Ibapynhun Thabah (21) were shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.
In all the above cases, the 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at the respective locations helped in shifting the injured to various hospitals.
