Govt officials undergoing training in US

 SHILLONG: Twenty senior government officials including four Deputy Commissioners are currently undergoing training on public finance management in the United States.

Informing this here on Wednesday, Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute (MATI) Director, D Vijay Kumar, informed that the training was scheduled for one week.

According to him, the training is being sponsored by the State Government for enhancing the administrative skills of the officials.

Informing that this is the first training of its kind, Kumar said that the State Government decided to fund the training after senior officials from Assam had successfully undergone a similar training in the US.
