SHILLONG, June 19: The State BJP has appointed Tura MDC Bernard N Marak as the BJP’s convener of Garo Hills region for the term 2020-2023 in preparation for the upcoming 2023 polls.
Marak is also the vice president of the party and might be pitched against Chief Minister Conrad Sangma in the 2023 polls from South Tura constituency.
