NONGSTOIN: Secretary of the District Council W Syiemlieh along with the Under Secretary District Council Affairs and other Council officials on Saturday visited the construction site of the Shopping Complex cum parking lot at Nongstoin.
During the visit it was found that the construction was progressing slowly.
Syiemlieh also told the media that the construction was already 70% complete. He also told that completion of the work at the earliest would ease the traffic congestion in Nongstoin market.
Renik Lyngdoh, the contractor told that the delay was because the Council did not release money for the construction.
He assured that the construction will be completed by March, 2014.
