SHILLONG, July 16: Award-winning actor from Garo Hills Phillip O Sangma passed away on Saturday. He was 95 years old.
Phillip O Sangma was the protagonist in the award-winning film MA’AMA, directed by his son, Dominic Sangma.
He also bagged two Best Actor awards in the Prag Cine Award North East and in Guwahati International Film Festival 2019 for his portrayal in MA’AMA.
He was also nominated for Best Actor at the Shanghai International Film Festival, China.
