First-ever NEET exam in GH held at Tura

TURA, July 17: In a first for the Garo Hills region, the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) examinations for UG 2022, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), was on Sunday for the first time, held in Tura.
Altogether, 344 candidates appeared in the examination which was held at the Don Bosco College, Tura centre.
A concerned official informed that the examination was held smoothly without any hindrance. “The candidates completed the Biometric Registration on time and were seated by 01:30 pm. At exactly 02:00 pm the OMR sheets were distributed to the candidates and at exactly 05:20 pm the candidates left the examination hall,” the official said.
West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Swapnil Tembe along with Superintendent of Police also paid a visit to the examination centre.
