Rape victim released from NEIGRIHMS

 SHILLONG: The seven-year-old girl, who was raped inside a jungle at Malki on May 8, has been released from NEIGRIHMS on Wednesday.

The police later interrogated the girl at her residence in Kharmalki, sources informed.

According to the sources, the girl also led the police to the place where she had been raped.

When contacted, police informed that they are yet to make any arrest in this connection.

Meanwhile, the Seng Samla Malki and the local Dorbar Shnong would be holding a peace rally in the locality on Thursday.

The Seng Samla would take out a peace rally to various parts of the locality from 9 am till 12 noon.

The Dorbar Shnong along with the Seng Samla has also decided to shut down the locality during the duration of the peace rally.

The Malki Dorbar Shnong and the Synjuk Seng Samla Shnong (SSSS) have strongly condemned the rape of the minor girl and demanded action against the perpetrators.
