Theft

lOn May 16 at around 11:30 am, unknown miscreants stole Rs. 35,000 from the house of one Philington K. Bani (47) at New Nongstoin (WKH).

lOn May 16 at around 5:30 pm, unknown miscreants stole a music system from a Maruti car (ML-05F-1666) belonging to one Johnny Kharsyntiew, which was parked at Lower Lachumiere, Shillong.

lOne Anil Kumar Singh lodged a complaint at Mairang PS that on May 13, unknown miscreants stole one Water Pump from a construction site on Shillong-Nongstoin Road at Manai (WKH).

lOne Prem Bahadur Chettri lodged a complaint at Dadenggre PS that on May 12 at about 2 pm, one David Kurbah of 2nd MLP battalion stole his motorcycle (ML-08B-4589) from his residence at Gimbilgre (WGH).

Shoot out

One Paul Marak lodged a complaint at Gasuapara OP that on May 15 at about 2:30 am, unidentified armed miscreants numbering to about 5 to 6 of them went to his house at Rakipara village (SGH). On seeing them, the complainant raised an alarm. Following this, the miscreants fired one round from their weapon and fled away. No casualty was reported. Matter is under enquiry.

Assault

One Genundro M Marak lodged a complaint at Dalu PS that on May 4 around 3:30 pm, one Chanula M Marak (56) was assaulted by her husband, Weljing D. Sangma and another woman Daki M Marak at Barongpara village (WGH). The victim succumbed to her injuries on May 8.

Arrest

With reference to the stabbing of one Dawan Siangshai at Ladmutong (EJH) under Khliehriat PS, on May 15, Police arrested the accused, Ber Dkhar (37).

Fraud

One Rupasikha A Sangma lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on January 31, one Prakash Hajong, Agent of M/s Saradha Reality Ltd., cheated her mother, Kemona A. Sangma of Rs. 5 lakh.
